GROW YOUR FAITH IN THE DOCTRINE OF CHRIST

Lerma, Sunday, January 13, 2013
GROW YOUR FAITH IN THE DOCTRINE OF CHRIST(Romans 12:3) "For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think, but to think soberly, according to the measure of faith God has given you. "God has given every believer a measure of faith the day I was born again.
(Ephesians 2:8-9) "8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest anyone should boast."God gave every believer's faith, if someone is born again then faith comes to your heart.
(Romans 10:8-17) "8 But what does it say? Near you is the word, in your mouth and in your heart. This is the word of faith we are proclaiming: 9 That if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who preach peace, of those who bring good news! 16 But not all obeyed the gospel, for Isaiah says, Lord, who hath believed our report? 17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. "
The day we preached the gospel came to us faith to receive eternal life at the time, when we receive the faith Jesus came to us.(2 Thessalonians 3:2) "2 And that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men, for not everyone has faith."Obviously not everyone has faith but only those who have received Jesus. The point is that if we have faith that we can do to increase it.
In the Romans passage we see that there are three elements to the faith:
• 1. He who gives the message
• 2. The message
• 3. The ListenerConsider the conversion of Cornelius in chapter 10 and 11 of the book of Acts.(Acts 10:1-6) says: "There was a man in Caesarea named Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian, pious and feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God always . He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and said, Cornelius. He looked on him, and afraid, he said, What is it, Lord? And he said, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God. Send therefore now men to Joppa, and do come to Simon who is called Peter. Lodgeth of one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea, he will tell you what you need to do. "
In this passage, we see two things. The first is that for us to be more fair, this is not sufficient for salvation. No matter how good we are, our works are not enough to bring us salvation.
In (Acts 10:22) we see the witness who gave Cornelius, "they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and fearing God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned by a holy angel for you to come to your house to hear your words. "
It is not enough to be good in the eyes of others, we need to hear and obey the words of salvation found in the Doctrine of Christ alone.
The second thing we see is that angels can not preach the gospel, not God entrusted that task to them but to us. That's why Jesus gave us the Great Commission (Mark 16:15-16): "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved: but he that believeth not shall be damned. "
In (Acts 11:11-17) Peter related the Jerusalem council what happened: "And, behold, immediately there were three men in the house where I was, sent to me from Caesarea. And the Spirit bade me go with them without hesitation. These six brethren went with me, and entered the man's house, who told us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and do come to Simon who is surnamed Peter; tell thee words, whereby thou shalt be saved and thy house. And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on them, as on us at the beginning also. Then I remembered the word of the Lord when he said: 'John baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit. If then God gave them the same gift as he gave us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could withstand God? ".
Notice that Cornelius needed to hear words, in order to be saved. And at these words is that he received eternal life.In this passage we see the three elements of faith:
• 1. He who gives the message was Pedro.
• 2. The message was the gospel.
• 3. The listener was Cornelius and his household.
Hence we see that faith for salvation came by hearing the preaching of the Word, specifically in the area of salvation.

How to Grow Your Faith(Romans 10:17) "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God."The Word of God in the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. The basis of faith is the Word of God, which is why we must understand that God's Word is needed for everyday living. In this passage, the word used is, faith comes when we hear again and again a specific topic of the Word of God.
Notice that faith comes by hearing ONCE THE WORDBut by hearing a continuous manner GOD'S WORD.
Many people do not receive from God, because you do not take time to let faith grow in his heart. Throughout the Bible we see that we must be diligent in our study of the Word.
In (Joshua 1:7-9) says: "Only be strong and very courageous, to observe to do according to all the law which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right or to the left, that thou mayest successful wherever you go. Shall not depart from your mouth this book of the law, but day and night meditate on it, that you may observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good . Have I not commanded you be strong and courageous, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. "
In this passage we see that God tells Joshua that the key to success in life is in the daily study of the Word of God. Not just once a week but something constant. If we have faith to receive from God we need to spend time in the Word of God for what we need.Another thing you must understand is that when studying the Word of God must always be oriented aided by specific topics and discipled through the teachings of Christ and his doctrine.
Many people read the Bible to read a horoscope; takes the Bible and says the Lord, "you have for me today," the open and what comes, what they think God is saying. This is not the way to read the Bible, nor is the way to seek God's direction. In (Romans 8:14) we see how God leads His children: "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God."
HOW GOD GUIDE YOUR CHILDREN IS THROUGH HIS SPIRIT.
Returning to our subject, we must be specific to the time that we develop faith in our lives. In (Galatians 6:7) says: "Be not deceived, God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap."
In the parable of the sower, in (Mark 4:14) says: "The sower soweth the word." We are those who sow the Word in our hearts and we can plant it in the other, and each seed produces a harvest in our lives. If you sow seeds of salvation, that is what you will receive in your life. If you sow seeds of prosperity, receive faith to thrive. If you sow seeds of healing, have faith to be healed.
Although in this case we are talking about salvation,This can apply to any area of the BIBLE.
Faith for healing. Now we see this process of faith in divine healing. In (Acts 14:7-10) says: "And there they preached the gospel. And in Lystra a certain man sat, impotent in his feet, lame from birth, who had never walked. The same heard Paul speaking, who, fastening his eyes, and seeing that he had faith to be healed, said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked. "
In this passage we see the three elements in the process of faith:1. He who gives the message is the Apostle Paul2. The message is the gospel3. The listener is the cripple of LystraWe have seen that faith comes when one hears the word of God, we see that Paul was preaching the gospel.
What is the gospel? Gospel means good news. In (Luke 4:18-19) The gospel is described: "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor, he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord. "
In (Acts 10:38) we see who are the oppressed: "How God anointed with the Holy Ghost and with power: Jesus of Nazareth, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him . "
When Peter preached to Cornelius and his family, said that the oppressed that Jesus came to set people were sick. And that the oppressor is the devil.
So when Paul preached the gospel to cripple at Lystra, he was saying that Jesus had come to save him from his illness, and that it was the faith to receive your healing.
The lame did three things in order to receive your miracle:1. He heard the gospel.2. He had faith to be healed.3. He acted on the word of Paul. This miracle was lame so we can get us. If you follow these three steps will also get the things you need for your life. You already have the faith, so as this lame Lystra you operationalize it.
TESTS make us grow(James 1:2-4) "My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and complete, not lacking anything. "
This passage gives us another way to think about the temptations we face. The word "evidence" is the same word in context "temptation" in (1 Corinthians 10:13) "There hath no temptation that is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted beyond what able, but will with the temptation also out so that you can stand. " God not only protects us from temptations that can not endure, Jehovah God also uses these temptations to help us mature.
We would all like to say we do not need anything, we are perfect and we are complete. We would like to hear the Lord say that nothing is missing from our lives. But we can only reach that through pain condition. We can not be mature without cultivate patience and we can not cultivate patience without going through difficult situations that test our faith. So James says that you must have it all joy when on various tests, when faced with temptations and trials of their faith. We are all strengthened in these tests to develop spiritual strength.
If you want to be physically stronger, what do you do? Subjected to painful experiences. Going to the gym and work and work, either lifting weights, running on the track or spending time walking. You do everything you can to strengthen your body, and you know that this is implicit in pain but you have decided you are worth enduring the pain for the goal to be achieved. In order to get stronger, you have to be able to endure any pain and persevere despite the pain. It is easy to start but hard to stay with him.
The same applies if you want to become stronger spiritually. He will never grow spiritually unless you develop patience and patience can only develop when perseveres in faith through painful experiences. Some pray: "Lord, I want to be strong for you. I want to be brave and bold. I want to grow, grow to maturity, to be complete in my faith. " If you pray that way, prepare well, since the answer to that prayer is going to be painful. The only way God can answer that prayer is testing his faith taking it to the limit, pushing it beyond its natural range and taking on hard times.
If you want that for your life, if you want to do all that God wants me to be for His glory, then you not only tighten the teeth and stand the test. The will cause of joy, as James says. How can you do that? You look beyond the evidence, beyond pain, to its effects. You look at the purpose of the trial period in his life, the goal of spiritual maturity. That is the source of joy. As you get stronger, less likely to give in to the temptation and less likely to waver in their faith. Do not you want that? If so welcome such evidence to make you stronger.
Jesus learned of Jehovah God to imitate their faithJesus used the same kind of faith in God.In (Luke 8:22-25) we see how Jesus used his faith with the wind and the sea: "One day as he got into a boat with his disciples and said: Let us across the lake. And they left. But as they sailed he fell asleep. And a storm of wind on the lake, and they began to sink and danger. And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish And he awoke and rebuked the wind and the waves, and they ceased, and there was a calm. And I said, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, and said to one another: Who is this, that even the winds and water demand, and they obey him? "
We see here that Jesus used his words to calm the wind and the sea, Jesus broke their faith through words.
In (Mark 1:23-27) says: "And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit, and he cried out, saying, Ah! What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? Be who you are, the Holy One of God. But Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him! And the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, came out of him. And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What is this? What new teaching with authority he commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him? "
Jesus used his words here to cast out a demon. Upon hearing the command of faith, the devil came.
In (Mark 11:12-14,20-22) says: "The next day, when they came from Bethany, he was hungry. And seeing from afar a fig tree having leaves, he came, if perhaps He would find something on it but when he reached it, he found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. Then Jesus said to the tree, no one ever eat fruit from you. And his disciples heard it. And going in the morning, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. Then Peter remembered and said to him, Master, behold, the fig tree that you cursed has withered. Jesus answered and said unto them, Have faith in God. " [The kind of faith God Himself]
Jesus is telling his disciples that God kind of faith is a faith that speaks. Jesus had spoken to the tree and this had dried. The kind of faith is a faith that God used words.
In (John 11:38-44) says: "Jesus, deeply moved again, came to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it. Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of the dead man, said to him: Lord, stinks and because it is four days. Jesus said: Have not I said that if you believe, you will see the glory of God? Then they took away the stone where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes on high, he said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. I knew that you always hear me, but I said because of the crowd standing here, that they may believe that you sent me. And having said this, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth! And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with bandages, and his face wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said unto them, Loose him and let him go. "Here Jesus spoke to the dead, and the dead raised.
We see that both the wind, like the sea, demons, and the dead trees were obedient to the words that Jesus spoke. This is the way he acted the faith of Jesus, through words. Jesus operated in the kind of faith in God. As God unleashed his faith through words, so did Jesus. Jesus imitated his Father, and obtained the same results as God.
HOW GOD USES HIS FAITH
(Hebrews 11:3) "By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear."God formed the universe through words. Viewing creation account in
Genesis 1, we see that whenever God spoke something happened.(GENESIS 1:3, 6, 7, 9, 11, 14, 20, 24, 26, 29)"3 And God said: Let there be light and there was light. 6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. 7 And it was so. 9 And God said: Let the waters under the heaven are in one place, and let the dry land. And it was so. 11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth. And it was so. 14 And God said: Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night, and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years, 15 and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth . And it was so. 20 And God said, Let the waters living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. 21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed after their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind, cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth according to its kind. And it was so. 26 Then God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. 29 So God created man in his image, in the image of God he created him, male and female he created them. "
In this passage we see that God spoke eight times and each time he did something happened. God unleashed his faith through His words. And the Lord God wants to imitate him and to talk as speech that is what Jesus Christ teaches us through the Apostle Paul (1 Corinthians 11:1) "Be imitators of me, as I follow Christ." (Ephesians 5:1) "Therefore be imitators of God as dear children." (1 Thessalonians 1:6) "And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit." (Hebrews 6:12) "so that ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises."
