REASONING AGAINST THE WORD OF ERROR

REASONING AGAINST THE WORD OF ERROR

(2 Corinthians 10:5,6) "5 casting down arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled ".
CORRECT THAT LOOK faulty reasoning
In politics as in religion and marketing are used arguments that seem valid but you really have the hidden purpose of deceiving. We know that Satan is the father of lies and deceit (John 8:44) "You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native, he is a liar, and the father of lies. "Therefore it is vital that we identify the arguments of error. Only with the truth can be free (John 8:32) "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." The believer must develop through the Doctrine of Christ discernment to distinguish the true from the false arguments and should also know refute the misleading arguments to defend through the teachings of Jesus Christ.
But sanctify the Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer and reverence to everyone who asks you a reason of the hope that is in you (1 Peter 3:14-16) "14 But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you are blessed. Therefore not dismayed for fear of them, nor be troubled, 15 but sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer and reverence to everyone who asks you a reason of the hope that is in you, 16 having a good conscience, that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ. "
(2 Timothy 2:22-26) "22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, love and peace, with them that call on the Lord clean heart. 23 But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife. 24 For the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient, 25 In meekness instructing those who are in opposition, if God peradventure will give them repentance to know the truth, 26 and the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will. "
Believers must always be prepared to shoot down the arguments that stand against the only truth that Christ brought by establishing his church on the Health of the Doctrine as stated in this passage: (2 John 1:9) "Whosoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God: he that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. "
"Essenes" says the doctrine of reincarnation say they do not eat meat. Because poor cause pain to animals when they are killed for our consumption. So do you think they eat? Fruits and vegetables. But what they do not feel the fruits when they are started from plants? No, they say. We all know that plants feel. But then how to wear shoes that are thin skin? Ah already but if you do not eat animals trample!
ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF specious reasoning:-Do not go to church.- Why not?-Hypocritical because many people there.-OK, then either go to work because there's also hypocritical.
CIRCULAR ARGUMENT
It consists of two propositions that "prove" reciprocally each other: We can ask evolutionists as determined age of fossils and they respond that is determined by the soil layers where they are located. And if we asked: How is determined the age of the earth layers? Sure answered that by the age of the fossils found there.
Another example of circular argument:-The Bible is the word of God- How can you be sure it's the word of God?-Because the Bible says so- But, why believe what the Bible says?-Because the Bible is infallible- How do you know that the Bible is infallible?
Argument from authority
This argument error is to consider that something is true just because someone important or prestigious says, without considering the argument not the person himself. The validity and accuracy must be in the argument on who supports it.
The following text is intended to discredit Peter and John trying to show that they had no authority of the scribes and doctors of the law.
(Acts 4:7-10) "7 and them in the midst, they asked, By what power or by what name, have ye done this? 8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, Rulers of the people and elders of Israel: 9 Since today we examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he has been healed, 10 let it be known to all you, and all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. "
(Matthew 21:23-27) "23 When he came to the temple the chief priests and elders of the people came unto him as he was teaching, and said, By what authority doest thou these things? And who gave you this authority? 24 Jesus answered and said unto them, I also will ask you one, and if I, I likewise will tell you by what authority I do these things. 25 The baptism of John, whence was it? From heaven or from men? And they reasoned among themselves, saying, If we say, From heaven, he will say: Why, then, do not you believe him? 26 But if we say, Of men, we fear the multitude, for all hold John as a prophet. 27 And Jesus answering, said: We do not know. And he said unto them, Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things. "
The following text is intended that the validity of a message depends on the prestige of (authority) with a person or group rather than the truth of the written Word.
(John 7:44-49) "43 there was a division among the people because of him. 44 Some of them wanted to take him: but no man laid hands. 45 The officers came to the chief priests and Pharisees, who said to them: Why do not you bring him? 46 The officers answered, Never man spake like this man! 47 Then the Pharisees answered them, Are ye also deceived? 48 Does he believed in any of the rulers or of the Pharisees? 49 But this people who knoweth not the law are cursed. "
ARGUMENT majorities
This argument is based on error that "so many people can not be wrong." If the majority approve a claim must be correct. The refutation is very simple. Long ago, in the time of Columbus, most people thought the earth was flat and a minority believed it was round. (Isaiah 40:22) "He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them like a tent to dwell."(1 John 5:19) "We know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness"Catholics are the majority in many countries and that does not make mistakes in truth. Most Germans supported Hitler but that did not correct.Where are the majorities are often wrong.
ARGUMENT FROM ANTIQUITY
This lie assumes that the causes that led to the old behavior still apply, however, if circumstances have changed the argument is invalid, and the only one who is right is Christ even though most disagree.
This same argument was used by the ancient Samaritan woman to prove that Mount Gerizim was the place where one should worship on the basis that there is still worshiped before the temple of Jerusalem was built. (Deuteronomy 11:29) "And when the Lord thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, put the blessing on Mount Gerizim and the curse on Mount Ebal."
(John 4:20-24) "20 Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, but you say that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. 21 Jesus said to her, Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. 23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is spirit, and those who worship Him in spirit and in truth must worship ".
The Catholic Church is the oldest church is so true, some say, without seeing that even very old ceased to be part of the true church and became a harlot church and apostate.
Appeal to tradition (always done so) and appeal to common practice (everyone does the same). For example:(Matthew 15:1-6) "Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees of Jerusalem, saying, Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? They do not wash their hands when they eat bread. He answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and thy mother: and, He who curses father or mother must be put to death. But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift to God anything that could help, and honor not his father or his mother. Thus have ye made the commandment of God by your tradition. "
We have always celebrated Christmas. All Christians celebrate it. This statement does not question the validity of such scriptural conclusion is limited only to accept a pre-Christian celebration of pagan origin.
ARGUMENT OF THE NEW
This argument holds that new is better. We know from experience that this is not necessarily true. A more recent model computer is not necessarily better.
(Acts 17:18-21) "Then certain philosophers of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers encountered him, and some said, What will this babbler say? And another: It seems to be a proclaimer of foreign gods, because he preached Jesus and the resurrection. And they took him and brought him to the Areopagus, saying, May we know what this new teaching is which you speak? For you bring strange things to our ears. We want to know therefore what these things mean. (For all the Athenians and strangers which were there spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell or to hear some new) ".
ARGUMENT false analogy (false similarity)
Similar argument that does not rely on a remarkable resemblance or forget differences that prevent the conclusion. Many Catholics say they do not worship images. They say that only because they remind revere Jesus, Mary etc. Just as we remember our loved ones far away. This argument is based on an apparent similarity. We have those photos because our loved ones are far away or dead, but our God is close and alive. It would be foolish to use images from our Father when we have this.
Furthermore prostrate before God forbids any pictures of what this up in the sky or on the earth below (Exodus 20:4) "Thou shalt not, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above or on the earth below, or in the waters under the earth. "
The element that makes invalid the argument of the opponents of our Savior is exactly similar account of life before and after the resurrection.
(Luke 20:28-38) "Saying, Master, Moses wrote for us that if a man's brother die, having a wife, and he die without children, that his brother should take the wife and raise up seed unto his brother. They were therefore seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and died childless. And the second took her, and he died childless. And the third took her also all seven also: and died without issue. And Last of all the woman also died. In the resurrection, then, what woman which one will it be? For the seven had her to wife. And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage: But they which shall be accounted worthy of that world, and the resurrection of the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage: For can not die any more: for they are equal to angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection. Now that the dead are raised, even Moses showed, in the passage about the bush, where he calls the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. For God is not God of the dead but of the living: for all live unto him. "
ARGUMENT OF ORIGIN
It consists of judging things today because of the value we attach to its origin of the exponent and not the veracity of the argument itself.
(Matthew 13:54-57) "And coming into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works? Is not this the carpenter's son? Is not his mother called Mary, and his brothers James and Joseph and Simon and Judas? And are not all his sisters with us? Whence then hath this man all these things? And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honor except in his hometown and in his home. "
(John 7:49) "But this people who knoweth not the law are cursed."
Argument to discredit A MAN
Instead of proving or disproving an argument seeks to discredit attack who argues that argument. (Acts 17:5,6) "5 But the Jews which believed not, moved with envy, took unto them certain lewd fellows of the baser sort, and gathered a mob, stirred up the city, and assaulted the house of Jason, and sought out to the people. 6 More not find them, they dragged Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world have come here also. "

U PUT IN ALTERNATIVE OPTION
Reasoning that from a division and, as a second proposition, stated one of the two components of the division, we conclude the denial of the other component.
(Matthew 22:16-22) "16 And they sent their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, and I do not care about anyone , do not regard the person of men. 17 Tell us therefore, what do you think: Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not? 18 But Jesus perceived their wickedness, said, Why tempt ye me, you hypocrites? 19 Show me the coin of the tribute. And they brought unto him a penny. 20 And he said unto them, Whose is this image and inscription? 21 He said, Caesar's. And I said, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's, and to God what is God's. 22 Hearing this, they marveled, and left him and went ".
The false appeal to loyalty're supposed to be in accordance with the interests of the group they belong to, whether that group is right or that their interests are justified.
(John 19:10-12) "Then said Pilate: I do not speak? Do not you know that I have power to crucify thee, and I have power to release thee? Jesus answered, have no power against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin. From thenceforth Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying: If you let this man go, you are no friend of Caesar; everyone who makes himself a king opposes Caesar. "
Argument addressed to the emotions
It is when the individual manipulates the emotions rather than reasoning. This argument is used today by both Christian and non-Christian sects which base their faith on emotions instead of basing it on the Holy Scriptures.
(Acts 19:33-39) "And they brought the crowd to Alexander, the Jews putting him forward. And Alexander beckoned with the hand, and would have the people. But when they knew that he was Jewish, was made a voice of all, they shouted for about two hours: Great is Artemis of the Ephesians! Then the clerk had appeased the people, he said, Ye men of Ephesus and who are of men who do not know that the city of the Ephesians is a worshiper of the great goddess Diana, and of the image which fell down from Jupiter? So, since this can not be gainsaid, ye ought to be quiet, and to do nothing rashly For ye have brought hither these men, without being sacrilegious nor blasphemers of your goddess. Wherefore if Demetrius, and the craftsmen which are with him, have with anyone, the courts are made, and there are proconsuls acúsense of one another. And if ye inquire anything else, in a lawful assembly can decide. "
CONCLUSION:Our Saviour was frequently harassed with questions and arguments manipulated to catch him in a mistake so that they could destroy his ministry. Our Savior forever demolished these arguments. The apostles and disciples went through similar situations. We must study Scripture and pray for wisdom as Solomon did.
(Ephesians 4:11-16) "11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, 13 till we all come in the unity of faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ: 14 That we henceforth be no children, tossed about by every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men in their deceitful craftiness craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head, even Christ: , 16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint help each other, according to the working by which every part does its growth in building itself in love. Good day very respectfully invite you to visit the blogspot that God has given me and, with much love I have some studies that God has given me in Revelation, Ephesians 3:8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given me preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ. Ephesians 4:29 Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only what is good for necessary edification, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
