ANOINTED ONE CHURCH BY THE HOLY SPIRIT
(2 Timothy 1:6-11) "6 Therefore I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and self-control. 8 Therefore do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, nor of me his prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel according to the power of God, 9 who saved us and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works , but according to his own purpose and grace which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, 10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and brought forth life and immortality through the gospel, 11 for which I was appointed a preacher and apostle and teacher of the Gentiles. "
INTRODUCTION:Being in a Roman dungeon during the reign of Nero was not a nice place. The church has been anointed with the purpose of Jesus to be exalted, to carry the meat of his blessed Word giving freedom to the captive.
An anointed church must have these seven qualities. Timothy had been challenged to maintain the following qualities: Integrity, Kindness, Mercy, Faith, Patience, Love, and Decision.1. INTEGRITY. That means Quality of integrity and honesty in behavior. Give them both to men and to God what is due. (Psalm 51:10) "Create in me, O God, a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me."(Psalm 25:21) "Let integrity and uprightness preserve me because I wait on thee."(Romans 12:2) "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the will of God and perfect".
Definitely only Jehovah God can enable us to maintain integrity in our behavior, it is not an easy task, but to see Joseph the dreamer's life, we realize how he could withstand the temptations and overcome, so as mentioned by the Apostle Paul: ( Phil 4:13) "I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me." "
